Maintenance for existing systems

Ongoing maintenance for systems already running in your plant

Many plants in Israel already have extraction systems, and some of them have run for years without regular servicing. Efficiency drops gradually, as the filters load up and capture at the workstations weakens. A maintenance contract with GAKO brings the system back to its design figures and keeps it in good working order over time.

  • Scheduled inspections, at a frequency set by system type and load
  • Filter and bag changes based on differential pressure and the manufacturer's instructions
  • Cleaning of ducts, hoods and filter housings
  • Checks on fans, motors, belts and bearings
  • A written record of every visit, for the plant file and the safety officer

For as long as the system is under a maintenance contract with us, we are responsible for it extracting as it should.

Duct cleaning

Cleaning the extraction ducts in your plant

Over the years, dust, grease and material residue build up inside the ducts of an extraction system, and many plants are unaware that the ducts also need cleaning. When a duct becomes clogged, capture at the workstations weakens and the fan has to work harder. GAKO opens the ducts and cleans them from the inside with dedicated tools, and as part of the same job also replaces filters and repairs system components.

  • Opening the ducts and cleaning them internally with dedicated tools
  • Cleaning hoods, filter housings and extraction points
  • A report on any defect found in the ducts or the fan
